These are portraits of recovering young people who attended the YES School in Santa Cruz, California. They determined the poses, chose the backgrounds and sat for many hours. Fifteen paintings were shown at The Museum of Art and Science, Santa Cruz, where the students and teachers celebrated their efforts, and the public learned about the school.
